that hand look friendly...

good job on that one, look better than on your flash, but then again flashes must be a pain in the butt so its understandable

entirely drawn in shades, look like painting, simple job well balanced

Nightwayfarer responds:

thx
it's photoshop cs3 and wet airbrush or smtn like that :)

love the facial expressions

that guy on the top got some real thug expression, and the girl under got foxy eyes,
great art, and your work on the expressions make em look alive

MillennialStylez responds:

Thanks homie! The expressions are actually the parts of this piece that I spent the most time on. The body and everything came pretty easy. I'm good at making pics with people posing but I've gotten rusty on action pics. Once I really get back into it, I'll start working on my comics again. A step by step process I'm sure you're familiar with. 'Preciate the love man and keep coming with your stuff. That shit's hot!!!!

on the right track

thats good stuff man, i kinda like those real-life based characters, sound like your into some interesting story, keep me posted on your comic once you gonna publish it.

your drawing style look like you learned it all by yourself, and your getting to a good result, i could also add that its anime inspired but its off the anime chart enough to be respecting your own code.

i guess now you need to work on now is your sense of proportions, the two characters behind the woman, have their torso a little bit short, as a general rules, characters 's body must be between 6-8 times their head heigh. also, you may want to work on your left character,s torso, like add some muscles on his upper chest and broaden his shoulder, like you did on ''My comic book creation1'' the pic you use as your description.

okay guess im done here so here is a 8 and i might add that you've been scouted now so other people migjht add other useful ( i hope) comments wich gonna help you improve

keep the good work

MillennialStylez responds:

Thanks for the input man. I know about the 6-8 head rule thing but I kind of shy away from rules because people come in many different shapes and sizes and I feel that particular rule of thumg, while a good guideline is settling into comformity. I can turn my heads to a lot of things but that's just one of them. I suppose I kind of sacrifice that for individuality and reality but I think the result is better that way. Also, I can see what you're saying about the guy on the left and his shoulders not being broad enough but I most of my characters don't have a super athletic physics. I try to keep them small and realistic so when I do pit them against someone that physically superior to them, it has more of an impact on the story. Good input though and I don't mind experimenting with more traditional ways if to see how my future works will come out. Please, feel free to give advice anytime, and if I can help, you can have mine as well. Another one of my mottos is this: Every good artists steals something from another artists. How do you think they'd gotten better in the first place? Lol!! Thanks for the 8 my man!

yep proportions...

proportions is practice x 10000000
but you already got something decent
keep goin you are on the right track, as for the colors...nothing to say except that it rock
my favorite part is the face, you were able to draw a fine yet stoic expression
added to fav

also dont worry about the hands, hands are pain in the ass and take years to get right...i always screw my hands myself so dont worry about it

zigan responds:

Thanks for the comment, and yes, hands are extremely a pain. lol Right now I'm trying to work more on sketches atm and getting proportions down.

love that evil smile...looove it

'' im sooo gonna be kicking your ass in 5 minutes..but now il just stare and smile maniacally " oh yeah thats renjii

Vadent responds:

hah too true man.

aim...fire!

look like watercolor or waterink, nice job , you got the light/shadow right, my only itch is the lack of background, even deserts have dunes , and naah...you got the hands right, theyre such a pain in the ass to draw anyway, im bad at drawing hands, i never get em right

dommi-fresh responds:

yea its water colours.
yea i donno really i can't see the hands being small but its their opinion so its fair comment.
yea i agree about the background i should start drawing backgrounds more often but i am more of a character designer. thanks for the review
and keep practicing at hands, after a while it comes naturally.

vectors on photoshops are soooooooo looong

you sir have an awesome patience
photoshop's vector is a pain in the ass, i personally prefer paint tool SAI, simpler and lighter on my old crank i call a PC

Picturewise , you got the right expression, she look like the split second before she slap ichigo hardcore because he told her again that her drawings sucks

nice rendering on the shades, light from the back always make a good impression

Vadent responds:

Phat feedback dude. Cheers.

Tankman!

thats defenetivly a tankman, does he do D***ck jokes too?

TheMagicStuff24 responds:

Sadly no =[
He does on the other hand dance and sing to tunes that he can hear in his own head...

*Gunshot* whistle

simple job but well done, all in monochrome, everything is there to transmit your message through your art, nice one here

1N5AN3 responds:

Thank you. The whole idea started as an exercise in trying to remove the use of color to portray images.

Angle perfection

hey thats a nice work of angles and perspective here, the gun is perfectly aligned and it create some depth effect, if you could add some nice background, say, on the top of a skyscraper,or inside a tunnel, and use the same depth perspective
and play with the angles you could get something worth of a constant cohort of worshiping fanatics!

RedEyesAssassin responds:

Wow! Thx, i did have in mind about the background but i just didn't know what to do so I left it as is, still thx for the comment!!
