i originally bulid this guy from a character of an europeean comic book series called merlins ( dragault ) and laharl from Disgaea, the original character i created then was a Dark elf sorcerer named Azalambel, later while i played Soul calibur 3 i noticed the similarities both with name and look with Zasalamel ( Almost same letters . different order) so i decided to change the character a little bit, he originally wielded a scythe, i changed his weapon for a fork , but he dosent always apperar with it , changed his look too...gave him a long trenchcoat, added wings horns and tail, made him more evil too until i decided to totally make him a villain
personality wise i got inspired from Laharl in Disgaea, but i made it more nasty and cruel,Aza is a motor mouth that speak in a calm, sweetened evilicious voice most of the time, but when he get fired up his voice become cranky and high pitched ( like the main singer from AC'DC)
in the end i made him a half-drow / half succubus male Warlock
it looks NOTHING like chrono from chrono crusade, dude...
chrono look more demon...er...

as for the chrono ressemblance, i dunno, beside Aza ain't a demon. hes a devil ( not the same thing, devils rule over demons ya see...)

no problem... just try to keep your art clean from backgrounds you didnt do... i know a few artists do this for WoW themed pieces as such... but its a subject on thin ice... nice to see that the problems with the art portal havent put you off it... keep up the good work and im sure il see your name pop up in the near future... i dont make more pics with google'd bgs now, and im probably gonna redraw my Mage pic adding extra characters and such , but im not done on that yet and its progressing very slowly, im also devouring tons of tutorials about drawing clouds and sky pictures, and waterfalls, after 2-3 other character oriented pics i might move on landscape ...
i also plan to make a huge pic showing tons of characters in a battlefield pwning each others, but i dont know what and how i wanna do it yet
i also wanna dre draw- moondevil and arcane magic with the best of my skills like i did with " en garde" thoses 3 pics ' characters are related to my comic...
and probably try a flash frame animation soon ^^
ideas are like plants, they must germ first before blooming into something useful...
